eFiling Assistant ("the app", "we"), operated by Franz Christian Morelos (Philippines), is a desktop application that helps law offices in the Philippines prepare and send the electronic copies of civil-case pleadings required by the Supreme Court's eFiling guidelines. This policy explains exactly what data the app touches — and what it does not.
When you sign in with Google, the app requests only:
openid, email, profile) — your name, e-mail address, and profile picture, shown in the app so you know which account you're signed in as.gmail.send) — permission to send e-mails from your account, at your request. This scope cannot read, list, modify, or delete any e-mail in your mailbox. The documents you add (pleadings, annexes) and the case details you type are read only on your device to build the filing e-mail.
For one purpose only: to compose and send your civil-case transmittal e-mail to the court (and CC opposing counsel) from your own Gmail account, in the format the guidelines require. Your basic profile is used solely to display your signed-in identity and to confirm you're sending from your e-mail of record.
Everything is local to your device: your firm signature, app settings, and your Google sign-in. On desktop, your Google sign-in is stored as an encrypted token in the app's private data folder so you don't have to sign in repeatedly; it's encrypted with a key derived from your machine and cannot be used on another computer. You can remove it anytime by signing out in the app or uninstalling.
eFiling Assistant's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, the data obtained through Google sign-in (your basic profile and the gmail.send permission):
Because no data leaves your device, you control all of it. To delete it: sign out in the app (removes the stored Google token), or uninstall the app. You may also revoke the app's access to your Google account anytime at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
The app is a professional tool for legal practitioners and is not directed to children.
